The SI’s pulsed infrared sensor covers a range up to 30 feet, with a variable beam interruptresponse time that can be adjusted from 50 to 500 milliseconds.

Sealed optics and an unique viewfinder simlify alignment, and there are no heaters or cut off circuits which might jeopardize security.
